Philosophy:
I believe that the charges for services of an estate planning attorney should be reasonable and affordable by anyone needing such services. Just as important, is making the services personal and tailored to the needs of an individual client. Each client's needs and desires are different and the work done for each client should match what the client needs and desires. I take the time to get to know each client personally and then educate the client with regard to the current status of the law and how it affects the client's desires to put an estate plan together. If a client is dealing with post death issues, the client needs to know the available options to reach a resolution of the matter.

As an attorney whose practice is focused on estate planning and post death proceedings, I quite frequently find myself in the role of the expert sitting across the table from a client who is confused about my area of expertise. Many people have read a little about estate planning and taking care of an estate after someone dies and maybe have attended a seminar. Quite frequently a client comes into my office reluctant to see an attorney but left with no other choice in order to resolve a legal problem. My goal is not to dazzle the client with my knowledge or make their problem sound overly complicated. I want to make the client comfortable and make the process as simple and easy as possible for the client and affordable to the client.

In dealing with clients, my goal is to find out what the client needs, wants to achieve and can realistically afford. After discuss the client’s needs and desires, we have a conversation that will both educate the client and enable me to help the client accomplish the client’s goals. My goal is to make the law understandable and affordable for my clients.
